Abstract
This paper addresses the topic of the globalisation of the arts and concerns brought about by the advent of post-colonial art and theory. Utilising the actual theoretical discussions on globalisation and aesthetic pluralisation, the writer investigates the ways in which contemporary visual arts serves to challenge existingWestern aesthetic theory. The writer uses contemporary Australian Aboriginal arts as an example of modern hybrid world art that has sought to keep ancient traditions alive while at the same time transforming these old aesthetic forms to better fit the criteria and needs of the global art scene. When considering these transformations, she also points out how the globalisation of the arts still retains much of the old colonial power structures, although this power makes itself visible in partly new forms. Anita Seppa¨ (b. 1969) is a PhD and a Adjunct Professor in Philosophical Aesthetics and Art Education who works as a researcher at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She has also worked as a professor of Visual Culture Studies in the University of Arts and Design (Helsinki). Her current research project ‘‘The Political Relevance of Art in the Age of Globalisation’’ is funded by the Academy of Finland and focuses on the globalisation and the contemporary visual arts.

چکیده
این مقاله موضوع یکپارچگی هنرها و نگرانی هایی را در نظر دارد که با ظهور پس از استعمار هنر و نظریه ها ایجاد شده است. با بکار گیری بحث های نظری واقعی روی یکپارچگی و جمع بندی زیبایی شناختی, نویسنده به بررسی راه هایی می پردازد که در آن هنرهای تجسمی معاصر به منظور رقابت با نظریه زیبایی شناختی غربی فعلی بکار گرفته می شوند. نویسنده از هنرهای بومی استرالیایی معاصر به عنوان نمونه ای از هنر جهانی ترکیبی مدرن استفاده می کند که در آن سعی کرده است تا سنت های باستانی را زنده کند؛ در حالیکه در همان زمان تغییر و تحول این زیبایی شناختی قدیمی تناسب بهتری از معیارها و نیازهای چشم انداز هنر جهانی را شکل میدهد. او همچنین با در نظر گیری این تحولات, به این موضوع اشاره می کند که چگونه یکپارچگی هنر ها هنوز هم بسیاری از ساختارهای قدرت استعماری قدیمی را حفظ می کند, اگرچه این قدرت ,خود را تا حدودی در شکل های جدیدی قابل مشاهده می کند.

Studying the Effect of Length and Material Properties of Knee Element on Behavior Factor of Knee Bracing System using Nonlinear Static Analysis

Abstract
In a knee brace system, at least one end of the diagonal member is connected to a small knee element instead of being connected to the beam-column intersection. The ductility in a knee bracing frame (KBF) is due to the knee element yielding in shear. On the other hand, the required lateral stiffness in such frames is provided by a diagonal member. Yielding of the knee element during a strong earthquake would ensure overall system stability without damaging the main structural components. Thus, reconstruction of the earthquake-resistant system would be easier and more economic. Considering the increased ductility and energy damping requirements set forth for building structures in seismic zones, the authors studied in the paper the effects of the length and properties of the materials used in knee bracing systems. To obtain reliable modeling and analysis results, first a suitable sample was selected from among the credible test models used in world renowned research centers and, subsequently, this sample was modeled by ANSYS software. Then, modeling accuracy was established by comparing corresponding load-deformation curves. Finally, by varying the knee member length and material properties, numerous models were generated in the ANSYS environment. Ultimately, such characteristics as ductility, behavior coefficient, ultimate strength, energy absorption, etc. were calculated and the relevant tables and curves produced
